Asbestos Awareness – Virtual Classroom

Employers are required by law to identify all hazards in the workplace. The aim of this course is to provide information on the identification and the prevention of occupational illness from exposure to respirable asbestos fibres.

Who should do this course?

All employers, employees, inspectors to the workplace, and any other person who may come into contact with asbestos.

What will you learn on this course?

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• List the six regulated types of asbestos
• Describe physical/chemical properties of asbestos
• List the adverse effects of inhalation of asbestos fibres
• Describe how asbestos has been used in the past and where it can be found today

How does it work?

You complete each module. You will take part in an assessment process at the end of each module which consists of 20 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 80%.

The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know if you have passed. If you don’t pass, don’t worry, you can take the course as many times as you need to with no extra charge.

Certification

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
